Duurzaamheid en circulaire economie
At Donkersloot, we think a lot about circularity and sustainability. And we're talking about it with our partners to find out together how we can best achieve that. Keeping raw materials in circulation for as long as possible, creating and maintaining value are our main goals. We led the way with the fully circular BT40, manufactured with the Niaga® tag. And we will continue to look at which materials and technologies provide an even higher yield for people and the environment.
Circular transition
We are in the midst of the transition to the circular economy and while we increasingly encourage the downstream supply chain and the upstream return chain to become circular, we are bringing biodegradable carpets. Sustainable products, made with natural raw materials, that leave a lower footprint in today's linear chains. In this way, Donkersloot contributes to reducing the environmental footprint and a world in which valuable raw materials are preserved.
Transparency
In the transition to a sustainable, circular economy, it starts with transparency. Knowing which valuable raw materials are contained in the products and making that information available to users and chain partners is an important prerequisite for the transition. In addition, Donkersloot is committed to ensuring that the products end up with the right chain partner at the end of life to process them back into valuable raw materials.

The durability of the Modular Dimension is not inferior to its strong design capabilities. From head to toe, this tile is built in a sustainable way. The Modular Dimension proudly holds the GUT certificate, which is also recognized by BREEAM and LEED.

HERGEBRUIK VÓÓR RECYCLING
Het recyclen van producten is een mooie stap in de goede richting om duurzaam om te gaan met onze grondstoffen. Wij zijn er dan ook een groot voorstander van. Maar er zijn nog zoveel stappen vóór recycling. Wij geloven dan ook in levensduurverlenging. Een tapijt zo lang mogelijk in circulatie houden vóórdat het uiteindelijk gerecycled wordt en de grondstoffen opnieuw ingezet kunnen worden.
Want waarom een kwalitatief goed product na een aantal jaar alweer uit elkaar halen om er iets anders van te maken? Wij gunnen het product eerst een lang waardevol leven voordat we het uit elkaar halen.

Tapijt kan veel langer mee dan dat het gemiddeld in een pand ligt. Daarom bieden wij met Revive een platform om hergebruik te stimuleren en het recyclen van grondstoffen zo lang mogelijk uit te stellen. Zo maken we samen levensduurverlenging mogelijk.

Wij ontwierpen een “No waste rug” van materiaal dat overbleef na productie. Een belangrijke stap in onze reis om een volledig zero-waste merk te worden. Het patroon is samen te stellen uit verschillende kleuren, afhankelijk van wat er op dat moment aan productie waste beschikbaar is.
